Solvang’s Motorcycle Museum

So tonight, while setting up my newest mac (a 20″ G4 imac), I came across some old links I’d saved while importing them into the newest version of Safari. One of these links was for The Solvang Motorcycle Museum, which is a really cool place, so I thought I’d share it with everyone in case anyone ever has time to stop by. It’s a nice ride out there, a fairly easy day trip from LA if you’re on a sport-tourer ;)

Guy Webster’s Motorcycle Collection

So I know this is a bit late, but Milt & I had the pleasure of meeting Guy Webster right before the holidays at his house in Ojai, California through a friend of his named Marcel, who purchased a gearhead dvd of the BMW anniversary. Guy’s collection has been very well detailed and written about in just about every major motorcycle magazine for many years now and Milt and I were fortunate enough to meet he and Marcel for a private tour of his rides. What an amazing sight to see! He has perhaps the definative collection on the west coast of older Itailan bikes, including Ducatis, MV Agustas, and Moto Guzzis. I’ve inlcuded a couple of picts of his place from when the Ducati Riders Club went out to Guy’s place for a visit. Here’s a link to more of their picts.
