Early Ducati 848 Press Launch Reviews

Once again it’s Ducati press launch time, this time at the Almeria circuit in Spain for the much anticipated 848 middleweight. Thus far the early word is pretty positive as you’d expect…

  • Visor Down has a short bit about the morning intro
  • I’ve just arrived at the circuit and been greeted by this sight, about twenty 848 lined up. How cool does that look? The weather’s dry, the track’s looking good and I can’t wait to try Ducati’s latest sportsbike offering.

MCN’s Senior road tester Michael Neeves has just posted a quick first impression mini-review

The 848 is the ‘King of Lean’. It loves corners and has the power of a Supersport 600 machine but it’s nowhere near as aggressive. On the track it doesn’t give a big impression of speed, although it would probably lap as fast as a Honda CBR600 or Yamaha R6.

  • Visor Down now offers a Ruben Xaus YouTube Vid
  • Apparently Visor Down has really gotten into this video thing… They’ve also posted a flying lap with Xaus…
  • Now Motociclismo has gotten into the act with their own YouTube Vid of Federico Aliverti following Xaus…
