Supposedly the pict above is a spy shot of BMW’s highly anticipated Project 190/190 Superbike, which at the moment is wearing R6 body work as a disguise. The German marque announced about a month ago that the 190 is expected to make its World Superbike debut during the ‘09 racing season and Sameer Kumar’s Faster & Faster website has a nicely detailed write up about the project. I for one am curious as hell about the 190, because let’s face it historically when either BMW or Mercedes have set their minds to conquering a racing event or series, they tend to do pretty darn well… Plus if the rumored artist sketch below is even remotely close to the production bike, then the 190 seems destined to be quite a looker and the rumored 1:1 power to weight ratio only adds to the intrigue…
