Interesting bit on Cycle News Online about the possibility of Team Roberts using Ducati GP8’s next season in Moto GP…
The team is hopeful of securing a pair of Ducati Desmosedici GP8’s for 2008 after having been turned down by all of the Japanese factories. Honda told them they wouldn’t be able to supply engines for two riders in 2008.

I think TR should consider seriuosly in the development of their own engine. I know it is very hard and very expensive to make a competitiv engine, but is the only way not to have a season like 2007, when Honda have decided not to supply engine upgrades to TR, maybe with some fear about the results. In 2006 season, the hybrid KR211V, has made much better figure than many officials RC´s…
Now it seems that Ducati will supply complete GP 8´s to TR.
This can be a very interesting solution, if GP8 will come so good as GP7 has been this year, and if TR, with all their know-how, will help in the development of the Ducati. I think it would be a very interesting partnership; Team Roberts/Ducati, with Kurtis and Kenny or Kenny and Max, or with Kurtis and Max. I think Ducati could take Max from WSBK and give him a chance to prove a very great rider is stil is.
