Major props to Michael Czysz. The guy behind the Motoczysz C1 American Moto GP project is not only busy building his bike but now he’s also headed to the small screen for a 2 Hour Documentary soon to air on the Discovery Channel.
For the last two years, Michael Czysz and the MotoCzysz team have been followed and filmed by a production crew from the Discovery Channel. The two hour documentary, Birth of a Racer, is the first HD documentary to be released by Discovery world wide and will be available to over 600 million viewers. The film shows the accomplishments and failures experienced by the MotoCzysz team while trying to bring an American designed and built machine back to the forefront of international road racing.
You can read the full press release on the Club MotoAmerica Blog or better yet, check out a trailer for the show on the production company website.
No air date has been set here in the States, but I for one am curious to check it out!

Thank You twist”ed” asphalt, you have been a diligent follower of the project from the beginning. The clip on the production companies site is actually a trailer compiled just after the first days of shooting, thus the very dated content. This was used by Discovery International to measure the amount of international interest the program would have. The response was good and project was green lighted, but as you may expect Hollywood rarely does motorcycle content justice. Thanks for the link, in So-Cal with the bike next week around?
