Dan Van Epps Leaves Ducati

5 November 2007 93 views No Comment

Roadracing World is reporting that Ducati veteran Dan Van Epps has been hired away from Ducati by Bimota.

“Since the rebirth of Bimota in 2003,” says company Chairman Roberto Comini, “we have focused on product development. Now we are ready to aggressively position ourselves in the global market, partnering with the best dealers and distributors worldwide. Dan’s depth of knowledge in this business and international experience are a perfect fit for the needs of our company”.

On a personal note: Dan has always been an amazingly helpful individual when I’ve been at the factory on a shoot. While his job title at Ducati was Senior Manager of Product Development and Director of Product Marketing, the truth of the matter is that he happens to be one of the great facilitators in the world of motorsports, always helping you to get the shoot you want or the interview you need. (He’s the ‘ol chap who gives the factory tour in Ducati: A Story of Passion). I’m sorry to see him leave Ducati, but I wish him the best in his new gig at Bimota :)
