My words tonight can’t possibly do justice to how absolutely spectacular it felt to be out on the track today with The Track Club folks. While I’ll be writing up a much longer post/review of todays Pro Italia sponsored event at Buttonwillow Raceway, the sensation that I find myself feeling at the moment is pure magic. To be able to go out and hit the track hard and then come home with a permagrin smile is simply a wonderful, wonderful thing. Though I’m mentally and physically whipped at the moment, I think it’s safe to say that without a doubt The Track Club crew runs one of the best trackdays I’ve ever experienced. Not only did they have their act together from an organizational stand point, but the group of riders that they attract is a very well paced crowd that seemed to put equal emphasis on both speed and safety. Having never been to Buttonwillow, I had no idea what to expect from the circuit but that too was a fantastic surprise. It is simply a marvelously glorious track that is one of the most enjoyable combinations of twisting turns and sheer speed outlets that I’ve had the pleasure of riding. This was truly a day of days…
