There’s an interestingh thread going on over @ Ducati.ms about managing risks while riding.
A member named migz123 wrote what I thought this was a rather worthy excerpt to pull out;
There is a way to segregate many of the high-risk aspects of motorcycling, in order to DRASTICALLY MINIMIZE the overall safety RISK in motorcycling. For example: […]

It’s late in the afternoon on a Friday, a mere hour before dusk and I’m ripping through the Malibu Canyons listening to the one of the most evocative sounds I’ve ever heard while on a motorcycle when I’m reminded of the mantra, “show me, don’t tell me”. Oddly enough because this bike does both; it’s […]

One of my favorite online motomags OneWheelDrive.Net is is running a pretty sweet give away contest. Apparently all you have to do is be there 1,000,000 online reader and you can win a Ducati Retro Jacket…
Not to shabby… Corse since I read their site via an RSS feeder I doubt my looks count […]

In case anyone missed it, there’s a cool thread going on over at Speedzilla where someone is sharing pictures they took of the Grand Opening of ProItalia’s New Santa Barbara Shop. Apparently Ducati North America used the occassion to unveil the Sport Classics line here in the States. Worth checking out.

I’ve spent the past three days reflecting on my latest trackday experience and while there are a number of words or phrases that could be used to describe how it felt perhaps the most telling attribute is that I simply can’t stop smiling.
Every time I stop and picture myself out on the track with […]

Just in case anyone missed it, Carolyn over at Bluepoof Bikes has a heck of a post and subsequent discussion going on regarding why aren’t there more women in motorcycling? … It’s really worth the read imho.

It’s late Saturday afternoon and to be perfectly honest I’m absolutely whipped right now. My lower back hurts, my wrists feel tired and my legs are completely shot, but none of that really matters or can overshadown yesterday… Because I witnessed my riding future and it’s on a racetrack.
Without a doubt the proverbial ‘lightbulb’ […]

I’m not really into the whole stunt craze, but I saw a link to a video of Ducati Monster stunter Chris Pfeiffer the other night and thought the clutch and body control displayed were pretty cool. I may not get it, but these guys can certainly control their bikes to an amazing degree…

There’s both a fascinating and somewhat funny thread about “What minivan can transport a bike?” going on over at Speedzilla. Since I’m about to load up the Duc in a rented van I found it of interest… Worth the read regardless…
Does of course beg the question, at what point do you just say screw the […]

I’m sure it’s an absolute shocker, but with a little bit less than 60 hours until I hit the track again I’m mentally ready to just be there already. Forget work, I’m just ready to ride. For the past two days I’ve been unable to think or focus on anything else except pre-visualizing being back […]
