RIP: Indian Larry Owner of Gasoline Alley

I don’t normally write all that much about American Chopper, but unfortunately it now appears that Indian Larry, of Motorcycle Mania & Biker Build off fame among other things, has died. I first heard about this from Travis over at Motorcycle-Blog.com who had posted a story titled Indian Larry, Chopper God and Owner of Gasoline Alley in Coma. Apparently Indian Larry was doing a stunt for a new television show and fell off his bike.

Whether or not you agreed with Indian Larry’s take on the chopper, his antics on tv or his appearance, I’m sorry that he’s no longer with us because he was unique. A true one of a kind individual and a very, very different cat who deserved all the recognition he received. I hope he rests well.

I don’t know much obout Indian Larry because I’ve just recently gotten back into the bike scene a few years ago. But I must admit from all the footage I have seen of him, he truly has a heart of gold. In an industry so overrun by machismo and ego, Indian Larry’s always remained down to earth. He will be missed.

I’ve just logged onto have a look for a chopper after watching bike builder featuring Indian Larry because I agree with every thing he believed in regarding both choppers and life. I’m shocked and saddened by his death. R.I.P Indian.
