American Choppers meets Italian Muscle

While hanging out on the Ducati.ms board last night I stumbled in the Monster Chat area and found a blurb about Mark Savory’s “LA Show Bike” - a chopped Ducati Monster! Now granted I’m the biggest chopper guy out there, but this is one very cool looking motorcycle. Even though it looks like a the reminents of a Monster, in truth the bike is powered by a Ducati 900SS engine and has a number of 998 and 996 parts. The only stock Monster element is a front fender. Amazing. The frame, bodywork and most of the accessories are 100% custom…

Here’s a pict of his very sweet looking creation…

You can read more about Mark’s custom Monster ride on the Ducati Monster List and also on Motocreations.com, his custom motorcycle company website.

Both websites are well worth the read and have some pretty cool picts. Especially Motocreations which has a gallery with a whole bunch of Mark’s sketches on potential Ducati modified bikes and very clearly articulates how his designs have been influenced over time. I have no doubt that there’s a tv show in here somewhere…
