It’s a Wrap, I’m Back in LA… Finally
It seems like forever since I last posted something meaningful on the ol’blog and to be honest even if there’s not much to say this morning, it’s nice to finally be back home and have at least a few minutes to scribble down some thoughts. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there’s nothing like returning to Los Angeles after a long trip. From the clear skies to the weather and from the roads to the moto-lifestyle, touching down at LAX put a tremendous smile on my face. So did sleeping in my own bed
— After nearly 2 months of living out of a suitcase and changing hotel rooms every other night, there’s something completely reassuring and comforting about finally getting back to a normal life. Of course these days I’m not quite sure what qualifies as a ‘normal life’, as it’s been one roller coaster event after another, but even the mere peripheral taste of normalcy is a welcome change.
The good news is that the ‘Twist The Throttle’ shoot was a blast and more importantly went fantastically well. The level of participation, cooperation and access that the major OEMs shared was tremendous and having seen some of the dailies, I have no doubt that both motorcyclists and non-motorcyclists alike will enjoy the final product.
I would have liked to have shared more of the journey and blogged all of it from the road, but a number of things conspired to prevent that: limited time and poor internet connections being chief among them. Hopefully in the coming days I’ll be able to carve out sometime to publish some of my thoughts about at least some of the amazing locations and personalities that we encountered.
