OneWheelDrive.Net has posted the best picts to date of the Ducati Tri-Color 1098. Still not sure it’s worth the extra coin, but it definately looks better in these picts… And I must say that the ‘look’ of the 1098 continues to grow on me…
Motoblog.it is blogging live from EICMA and has posted a video of the Ducati 1098 introduction — it’s all in Italian, so it’s not so …

Ducati’s new direction will continue to grow on me as long as they maintain some curves to their design and not get too edgy.
I like the edgy look of the R1….but, I like that look ON the R1.
I’d like to see the 1098, chassis, exhaust & swingarm combined with a tighter 999 fairing nose (closer). The stacked headlight is cool & still has room for subtle improvements.
The 1098 has got to look awesome in person with that stout swingarm and exhaust. The exhaust that should have been developed with the 999 launch. I’ve read the original 999 exhaust was the bean counter’s decision and not Pierre’s.
