As an original owner of a 1974 750GT (still got it and it still rocks), I have a passing interest in the SportClassics. My main beef with the aesthetics of the new GT are the tank and elevated rear end. It would seem that Terblanche could have given up some travel or otherwise diminished the air space back there. Also, one of the elements that made the GT even better looking (to some) than the original Sport and SS was the graceful tank with its blend of curves and angles. It was unique to the model and not shared as in this case. Pity. I prefer the designes of Tamburini, and rather than wait for something worthy of the original, I bought an MV Agusa Brutale and couldn’t be happier.

Clutch is wet and the wheels are steel. It weighs about 12 lbs more than the Sport.
