Tonight I wanted to throw a shout out to Steve Munro who’s wonderful Ducati F1 blog, Loud Bike, is celebrating its first birthday this week. Here’s a short excerpt from Steve’s most recent post about the occassion;
Those first two months of writing helped me realize that the bikes were not limiting me to a single dimension, but rather pushing me to expand myself. I also began to understand that I knew an awful lot of stuff. And so the blog became a mirror – one that gave me the confidence to try my hand at earning a living with my passion.
I’ve been meaning to make mention of Steve’s blog for quite some time and after reading his most recent entry, I think one would be hard pressed to find a better description for what motorcycle blogging is all about…

Thanks for the birthday greeting and even more importantly, your guidance and support while I was creating the loudbike blog. When I began the process of building loudbike, there was little to draw from in terms of quality motorcycle blogs. Twisting Asphalt served as my benchmark for quality content/ presentation and your advice got me moving in the right technical direction.
