Looks like one of my favorite custom bike designers – make that my only favorite custom bike designer since he’s Duc inspired – has been hard at work again, this time with a replica cafe racer… Mark Savory of MotoCreations fame is set to unveil his newest bike tomorrow on the MotoCreations website…
Here’s a brief description of the new MotoCafe by Mark,
“I do more than just choppers although people don’t realize that. I just always thought the TT2 racer and the 750F1 were the ultimate culmination of the old Ducati tradition — I’m not a big fan of the Super Sports series since. I have always wondered what would have evolved if Tamburini had played with this design motif instead and incorporated some of his 916 parts, geometry and and a bit swoopier bodywork for it as well as the modern 2-valve engine. (There will be a racer version later with a different tail section for the purists)
If you’re interested you can read more on this thread from the Ducati Monster Org website… All in all, I have to say that this time Mark really nailed it… If the bike handles as well as she looks, it’s a winner in my book. Nice job.
