The New MotoCzysz Red Bull Bike

After writing several previous posts about Michael Czysz’s MotoCzysz MotoGP Motorcycle I wanted to throw a shout out to Travis over at Motorcycle-Blog.com who today posted a scope on the soon to be announced Red Bull USGP paint scheme for the C1. Honestly I have no idea where he saw the press release because as of tonight I can’t get the MotoCzysz website to load in my web browser at all. It appears to be terminally down from where I’m sitting. That notwithstanding I find it a bit ironic how even though I’ve seen the bike in person, now being able to see it all dressed up for racing season makes the bike seem all the more real. Given how previous bits of information on the bike have spread across the ‘net like a brushfire, I’m sure thousands of folks will undoubtedly be drawing their own conclusions as to whether or not they dig the new paint scheme. It strikes me that at first blush the colorization of all the particular parts of the bike have begun to mask its true individuality which I think is a bit of a shame. It’s such a creative attempt to be different on so many levels that I’m a bit sorry to see that they’ve stylistically made it appear so similar to the rest of the field. Of course, I imagine that picking out a color scheme for the bike might have been the most constrained activity that Michael and the gang at MotoCzysz have been presented with thus far. Every major motorcycle manufacturer who’s out there racing – and even some that aren’t – have already staked their claim to so many of the most prominent colors and no amount of engineering excellence can work around the associations that fans make between certain color values and certain bikes.

That thing is stupid…. Hey Mike..stick to designing houses

My god..You people are so strung out on that Red Bull your minds are tweeked.

Big Deal…NOT Super Innovative….many builders have fooled around with such ideas…

Personally I AGree the Paint scheme ruined anything unique on the Bike….
THAt Hand Bag motiff is rediculous…unless you dig hand bags

    Sorry MAn..Just my 2 cents

Did anyone watch 2 wheel tuesday this week? If I’m not mistaken, I think I recognized Michael Czysz, the creator of the MotoCzysz C1 standing behind Michael Jordan during that interview. I’m just shooting in the dark here, but what if Jordan is one of the backers of the C1? Could get real interesting..

I first met Terry Czysz while attempted to sell cars for Selby Chevrolet where he was the sales manger in Ashland Oregon. Just finished watching Birth of a Racer and what a thrill it was to see him once again. Best of everything to the Czysz family and there endevors.

Wish I could visit the plant in Portland and say hello to Terry. He was a class guy !!

The main point that everyone seems to be missing about this whole story is that this gives SOME of us proud Americans hope. Hope that this is proof that there are still a few people left who get it. What made this country great was always the lack of fear to innovate, something we have all started to take for granted. The men who put us at the top of the heap were all like Michael Czysz, they didn’t listen to the establishment, they ignored the naysayers and they built what they said couldn’t be built.
We have become a nation of consumers, not caring where it comes from, just wanting to own it. If we spent a little more time thinking about the long term effects of what we do on a daily basis, and adjusted how we do them to favor a strong local economy, we may see a set of ideals that could spread like wildfire and bring our country back to the level of respect that it once garnered worldwide, It seems that these days “U.S.A.” is more likely the subject of a punchline, not a headline (at least not a positive one).
If we could get a new generation to subscribe to these sorts of ideals, we may be able to break the cycle of fallen empires that we are about to become the next chapter in.
On top of all that it’s a damn cool bike and I, for one, would love to see Motoczysz make the whole sport bike establishment eat a nice hot serving of crow.

    Just one mans humble opinion

Michael Jordan is listed as one of the Motoczysz owners by the Oregon secretary of state. I wonder what that means?
