Well the weather is finally starting to get better – which makes me feel a hell of a lot better about life than stormy clouds – and I’m still jonesing to get a ride in. Of course given the current amount of work that we’ve got to get done, it’s still probably a week or so away assuming that the weather continues to clear up. In the mean time MotorMilt has decided that while we wait for the weather to get better and work to calm down, he’s going to break down and replace his Ducati’s seat. Apparently idle time for him means lots of web research into who makes a better seat for the 999. After several discussions on the ducati.ms board he settled on a new Sargent Seat.
He hasn’t installed it yet, but from what I can tell it looks like the seat is much more padded than the stock solo seat and the fabric is much softer. Obviously until we get the seat on his bike we won’t know how it handles sport riding, but as of right now it looks like a good upgrade on his part. I’m thinking for right now that I’ll stick with my stock seat, but if Milt really digs the Sargent perhaps I’ll look into checking one too.
